Blogging is Trite

Trite means over used or lacking originality. Everybody and their brother is a blogger these days. Thus the title of my first entry-- Blogging is Trite.  For some reason, everybody thinks they are important. What ever happened to the good old fashioned diary? That is where most of these people should be writing. The Internet, no matter how infinitely large it may be, should not have its space wasted with the drivel that some people think counts as something to share.

The odds are you are not going to be rich and famous from your little "a day in the life" blog. Odds are you are not the next Perez Hilton. Odds are, you aren't going to be interviewing celebrities and breaking important news issues like a real journalist. If you want to do that stuff, go to Journalism school and learn a thing or two. If you don't know the difference between a serif font and a sans serif font, you should not be blogging.

With that said, I pretty sure I am a solid writer with a significant point of view. I will be attempting to do what blogging was originally created for-- to share information. Follow me and be intrigued. I'm a Southern woman who embraces tradition, loves forward thinking, plays with contradictions, and says it like it is.
