Between humans, that is quite possible. I mean, if somebody you love "unconditionally" runs over everybody else you love, I'm pretty sure you'd stop loving that person. But I do believe unconditional love exists.

I know it does because of my dogs. Dogs kill me. The way they love no matter what. I'm sitting here sneezing my head off, surrounded by tissues, without a stitch of makeup and my puppy puts his head on my shoulder and one of his legs across my chest and falls asleep. No human would want to snuggle with a snotty mess like me! And, to top it all off, I slept through my alarm and he had to stay in his crate for an extra hour this morning. He doesn't seem to mind. My other dog, she's not as lovey dovey, but I know she loves me just the same. My dogs don't get mad at me because I'm in a bad mood...they just snuggle down more to try to make it all better. My dogs don't care what I'm wearing or what I look like. They just love. I think we could all learn something from these amazing creatures.

professional

No, you are not a professional even if your Mommy says so

Every moron with a computer thinks that they are a blogger. This blog is playing slightly off of my last one in which I declared blogging trite. Thanks to Doogie Howser, and things like Blogger, people think that they are all bloggers and should get paid for it. Thanks to companies paying people to do online marketing using social media accounts that people use normally, many people think that they are capable of being social media marketers. Just because you have the money to buy the stuff, doesn't mean you should it.

For example, I can buy every single piece of equipment necessary to be a professional linebacker. I can get the best cleats, pads, helmet, etc, put it all on and prance around and tell people I'm a linebacker, but that doesn't actually make me a linebacker. I can join a rec league and be the linebacker for that team, but I'm still not a professional linebacker. Also, I'm only 5'5" and 130lbs. Not a typical build for a linebacker. But wait! I've bought all the right stuff and somebody has actually let me play in that position!! And my Mommy says I'm good! WHO CARES?! Even the Colts wouldn't want you as a linebacker and they are horrible right now.

So, just because I create a blog account, have social media profiles everywhere, and tell people I'm great doesn't mean that I'm a professional. When you go to fill out a resume, do not put "blogger" unless somebody is paying you legit money to write about something important. Your LiveJournal account absolutely does not count. And never talk to people about being a social media expert even if you do get paid for it. The game changes everyday therefore it is next to impossible to be a genuine expert.

With that said, I'm going to go cash my check for being an Internet Marketing Associate and smile because I'm a professional :)

Because I'm Awesome

Blogging Because I Can: Blogging is Trite

Blogging Because I Can: Blogging is Trite: Trite means over used or lacking originality. Everybody and their brother is a blogger these days. Thus the title of my first entry-- Blogging is Trite. For some reason, everybody thinks they are important. What ever happened to the good old fashioned diary? That is where most of these people should be writing. The Internet, no matter how infinitely large it may be, should not have its space wasted with the drivel that some people think counts as something to share.

The odds are you are not going to be rich and famous from your little "a day in the life" blog. Odds are you are not the next Perez Hilton. Odds are, you aren't going to be interviewing celebrities and breaking important news issues like a real journalist. If you want to do that stuff, go to Journalism school and learn a thing or two. If you don't know the difference between a serif font and a sans serif font, you should not be blogging.

With that said, I pretty sure I am a solid writer with a significant point of view. I will be attempting to do what blogging was originally created for-- to share information. Follow me and be intrigued. I'm a Southern woman who embraces tradition, loves forward thinking, plays with contradictions, and says it like it is.

Professional Goods
